This is going to be a post that I try to out out more often, the idea here is that I share some of my favourite brands from around the web that are doing some pretty unique things with their social media. It’s not going to be a long post, in fact, it’s more of a way to bookmark some of the stuff that is inspiring me to push the envelope when it comes to creating powerful social media for my clients. Here we go:
Netflix knows exactly the type of person that they want to attract. They’ve got all the data they need on their perfect customer so targeting ads or content to those groups is easy for them. They use video so effectively on facebook and twitter but where they really shine is on youtube. They know exactly how to promote and share their upcoming content
GoPro’s social media strategy is all about letting users share their content.. They make it simple for anyone to submit content, both video and and photos and they use they out-reach to share that content. It’s a win-win for both sides. The creator gets they’re content and name out to the world and GoPro get to show everyone exactly what their product looks like without having to create the content themselves.
Dove has made their mandate pretty clear, it even features on their social media bios. “Dove is committed to helping women realize their beauty potential by creating products that deliver real care.” Dove is constantly creating content aimed at making women truly feel good about themselves and their bodies. This isn’t an easy feat in an industry that is so competitive. Take a look at their recent twitter images content:
